Ingredients

600g bananas, cut into 2 cm pieces

100g flaked almonds, toasted

100g coconut flakes

60ml good quality cocoa powder

almond sprinkles for serving

Creamy dreamy vegan chocolate ice cream

Who says you need cream for a creamy result? Frozen bananas are a great creamy, naturally sweet alternative. Use good quality cocoa powder for a more chocolatey flavour. This dessert is delicious and guilt-free!

Method

  • Freeze the bananas in a single layer until hard.
  • Place the almonds & coconut flakes in a food processor bowl and mill until fine.
  • Add the frozen bananas and cocoa and blend until smooth – you don’t want lumps of bananas.
  • Serve immediately topped with almond sprinkles or freeze until needed.
